How Much Will I Pay For The Weight Of My Package?
Atlas Express charges are based on the weight of your package. Please refer to our rate sheet for details.
Is There A Weight Limit Or Restriction On Any Item?
With ATLAS, you don’t have to worry about item size or weight. We carry everything! However, some items may be restricted by specific import regulations. Certain items may also require a government-issued permit.
What Is CIF Value?
CIF stands for Cost, Insurance, and Freight.
Will I Be Charged Customs Duties On My Packages?
Yes, all packages entering the country are subject to duties and taxes imposed by the Jamaica Customs Agency.
Are My Packages Insured?
Yes. All packages are insured at a rate of USD $3.50 for each USD $100.00 of declared value, or any fraction thereof. Please note that we do not accept liability for glass or ceramic items, improperly packed shipments, or money of any kind. A fuel surcharge of USD $2.50 will apply to all shipments.
How Are Custom Duty Charged On Packages?
Customs duties are applied to packages with a declared value exceeding USD $100. Duty rates are determined according to the applicable customs tariff codes, as assessed by the customs officer processing the shipment.

What Exchange Rate Is Used To Calculate The Duty?
The exchange rate used is based on the Bank of Jamaica’s official daily rate in effect on the date the shipment is processed.
